From Idea to First Customer: A 90-Day Plan

Ideas are cheap. The gap is execution against a clear plan. Here is a 90-day plan to get from "I have an idea" to "people are paying me," with a kill criterion so you do not waste the quarter.

Days 1 to 7: validate

Do not build yet. Find out if anyone wants it.

If the demand is not there, kill it now. This week just saved you the quarter.

Days 8 to 21: define the offer and the ICP

Days 22 to 60: run outbound, daily

This is the grind that actually gets customers.

Set weekly experiments with pass or fail criteria. Week one: 100 outreaches, pass equals 5 yeses to a free or flat trial. If you get under 2, the offer is weak, rewrite it before blaming the market.

Days 61 to 90: prove it, then double down

The mindset

Every path is hard. Building is hard, selling is hard, being broke is hard. Pick the hard that pays, and remember that success and failure are on the same road, failure is just an earlier exit. The founders who win are usually just the ones who did the boring outreach every day while everyone else waited to feel ready.

Start day one now

The plan only works if you start. A free DemandSonar scan gives you days 1 to 21 in about ninety seconds: the demand check, your ICP, the offer, and the channels, so you can spend your 90 days executing instead of guessing.

Stop guessing. See if anyone wants your idea.
