Guided snowshoe and winter-nature experiences: small-group snowshoe treks, fondue-in-the-snow evenings, and winter-photography walks for tourists and locals
Is the demand real?
Real but narrow. Snowshoeing is a lovely, accessible winter activity that does not need ski skill, and a guided trek with a fondue ending photographs beautifully and appeals to families and couples who do not ski. But the demand is modest per resort, the window is a hard four to five months, and established mountain schools and resort programs already offer it, leaving a thin margin for a new solo operator. It is a nice add-on business, not a standalone year-rounder.
Growing or fading?
Soft-adventure winter activities are steady, with mild growth as non-skiers seek alpine experiences. Risk: the most seasonal idea here, it only exists in deep winter, snow-dependent, and a bad-snow year can erase the season entirely, so it must be paired with a summer product.
